WHITEGOODS LAUNCHES LIGHT METER APP
Whitegoods has introduced an extremely intuitive and easy to use light meter app. As any lighting professional knows, you never have a light meter when you need one – but not anymore. Designed by lighting experts, the LightMeter by whitegoods app is now available for download on the iTunes App Store (search ‘whitegoods’).
This unique app can be used to measure various light levels and also provides a guide to users regarding the appropriateness of existing light conditions for different environments or tasks – i.e., “ideal for reading printed paper of high contrast” or “ideal for performing visual tasks of low contrast or very small size”. This dynamic on-screen information is shown as light levels change, allowing the user to compare what they see to other applications. A timer function also allows for readings in hard to reach areas where a display is not easily seen.
Washington Architectural Foundation
Alliance Lighting proudly supports the Washington Architectural foundation with a recent donation for the new District Architecture Center. This new facility will be a place where both the public and the professional can celebrate architecture. We will look forward to keeping you updated as the project progresses.
